This project is similar to a lot of our projects having a large program of needs and a very small space. The 3 main functions are a retail sales area for wine, a casual sitting area for kicking back, and the bar all set up for wine tasting. All support space was located in the back of the location. We have the main entry off of Valencia Town Center road. The other entrance was required by the mall from a passageway linked to other stores. The spatial layout creates different zones for retail and then opens up to the sitting and bar area. The sales counter is in the back giving the store a more friendly atmosphere and shared with the bar itself. Angles, curves, ceiling lighting systems all twist and turn breaking up the space and directing traffic to the all important bar. We assisted in the selection of all the building materials which accent the comfortable modern environment.
